HISTORICAL TIMELINE

MASCO was founded in 1968 by Mohammed Ali Alswailem. Who had started his carrier in early 1950’s as an employee in Arab American Oil Company (Aramco) which sharpen his talent and vision to establish in mid 1960s his own sole partnership corporation which was solely specializing in road construction.

Mohammed Al Ali Al Swailem Trading & Contracting Co. was established as a Saudi limited liability company in 1984 with a capital of SR 3 million.

In 2006, the company increased its capital from SR 3 million to SR 100 million. The company was converted into a closed shareholding company in 2007.

In 2011, the company increased its capital to SAR 550 million.

  • 1960
    Established as Sole partnership by MASCO’s founder Mohammad Ali Alswailem
  • 1961
    Start business as Road Construction/Material Supplier & Transportation.
  • 1970
    First road contract in north KSA (Duba-Tabuk Region).
  • 1972
    Multi road construction projects in several region of KSA (HaferAl Batin, Tabuk Riyadh)
  • 1979
    First Two mega highway projects (Duba - Tabuk Road) (Riyadh - Qassim highway) & other several road projects.
  • 1984
    MASCO incorporated as limited liability company
  • 1985
    MASCO classified Grade A degree in road construction & maintenance & perform several projects across KSA
  • 1990
    Several major road & highway projects were done across KSA
  • 2003
    MASCO incorporated water projects & perform several major projects.
  • 2008
    MASCO incorporated energy projects (Advanced Energy) as a subsidiary Co. Incorporate Entaj Industrial Services Co. as a subsidiary Co. specialized in ready mix & construction material. Building and Water classified Grade A
  • 2009
    first Mega Project for the construction of railway infrastructure for the 453-kilometer Haramain high speed railway connecting the western city of Jeddah with the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madina.
  • 2011
    Raised capital to SAR 550 million
  • 2012
    Secured first major contract with Saudi Aramco & established a strong relationship.
  • 2016
    Diversified its business through incorporating niche industrial production co. establishing a subsidiary Maydan Industry
  • 2017
    Incorporate partnership with Saudi Real Estate Co. Binyah
  • 2021
    Signed new WO with NEOM
  • 2023
    Under the Investment Plans, acquired 100% ownership of Transgulf Readymix Concrete Co. Signed new WO with NEOM & Qiddiya. AMIRAL. PKG#6 “Amiral” complex, a future petrochemicals facility expansion at the SATORP refinery in KSA.
  • 2024
    MASCO General Contracting Co. signed two mega contracts with Aramco, with a total value exceeding 2.2 billion Saudi Riyals
